TAWANI Foundation gifts more than $200,000 to help Tennessee tornado victims

The TAWANI Foundation and Colonel Jennifer Pritzker, founder of the TAWANI Foundation, announced a gift of more than $101,000 to the American Red Cross of Tennessee River, and an additional $101,000 to the Fort Campbell Historical Foundation to help victims of the Dec. 9 tornado in Clarksville, Tennessee and Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

According to a news release from the TAWANI Foundation, the tornado traveled 43 miles from Tennessee into Logan County at 150 miles per hour. More than 350 families in the tornado’s path were unable to return to their homes after the storm. 78 military families are now in transitional housing, and have moved into post quarters or are in the process of getting a new home.
