CHICAGO – August 31, 2023 – The TAWANI Foundation announces it has awarded a $1M grant to the Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD). Since 1979, the Food Depository has worked to provide food for those at risk of hunger in Chicago and Cook County.
“In these trying times, when countless individuals and families find themselves facing challenges due to economic hardships, the work of the Greater Chicago Food Depository is even more vital,” said Colonel (IL) Jennifer N. Pritzker, IL ARNG (Retired), founder of the TAWANI Foundation. “We are proud to support the organization in advancing its mission while providing much-needed sustenance and resources.”
