Our educational grants reflect a commitment to a diversity of educational possibilities. The institutions we support represent a range of instructional approaches and curricula, but share in common a commitment to excellence and opportunity for the students they serve.
With a focus on organizations following a science-based, human-rights approach, the TAWANI Foundation funds studies and efforts aimed at leading to a better understanding, and acceptance, of gender and human sexuality diversity. We are committed to increasing knowledge of that diversity by promoting awareness of the biological and social factors that make us unique as individuals and bind us together as a broad community.
The TAWANI Foundation is committed to preserving and protecting our architectural and cultural heritage. We support organizations whose goals are to ensure that national treasures, from significant physical structures to museums and arts organizations, are available for the enrichment of generations to come.
TAWANI Foundation is proud to support institutions, largely in and around the Chicago area, that further our knowledge of history, our appreciation of the present and our sense of what’s possible in the future. From art to music, from museums to public broadcast, we believe that enriching our regional culture is a benefit to our residents, to our economy and to the wider world.
The TAWANI Foundation is committed to preserving and protecting our architectural and cultural heritage. We support organizations whose goals are to ensure both prominent and less visible national treasures are preserved and protected for generations to come.
The Foundation’s focus is connecting the environment to economic opportunity – opening spaces that make the outdoors more accessible and more impactful both for low-income neighborhoods and the community at large.
Promoting greater access to health and wellness throughout our communities, TAWANI’s grants are awarded to organizations dedicated to encouraging activity, exercise, health care access and health support across the income spectrum.
